I decided to give this place a shot because I was having a hard time finding a place with decent prices and I had been to other salons here in Fairbanks but it was just so expensive. I went in and Makayla, one of the professionals there greeted me with a smile and a warm welcome. She asked what I had wanted done and I told her and she got started. She was so friendly and talked with me the whole time. I had a touch up of my balayage and a nice healthy cut and she did an amazing job! The color came out great and the price was what sold me. But I loved her! I will definitely be going back and recommending friends! Thanks Makayla! Brought my girls in to get two different types of cuts. They both got what they asked for, and then the instructor came by and inspected their work. It was done correctly, but the instructor was willing to fix it if it hadn't. So that will keep me coming back. Went in for an up do and makeup application. Gave the chick a picture of what I wanted. I said it didn't have to look exactly like it. Instead she just decided to do whatever she wanted. Then onto makeup...dear lord. I came out looking orange. I went expecting it was gunna be a little more professional since it was being done by an instructor! It literally felt like my sister was doing my makeup. Nothing too fancy just enough to put makeup on. Was not worth the $47. Will NEVER be coming back. I started going there to help my friend Kristin, a brand new student at that time, get some experience. I don't ever get to have my hair done professionally because it's too expensive so I would just use box dye which worked fine for me. Turns out, not only was she a natural and the prices were awesome, but the teacher and the other students were very on point and kind. So now I go for anything; cut, color, highlights, and all of the fun. I've only had amazing experiences with them and they are awesome with kids! My 4 year old has started getting real haircuts (instead of the hack jobs i used to do) and even got her tips colored a beautiful pink for her 5th birthday and she absolutely loved them! So her and I go at least monthly now to get pampered! I've taken myself and my son to Mane Place, and have had wonderful service from these very patient, kind people. The teacher makes sure all advice and work is right. Great prices and they even give good advice about hair for after the customer leaves.
