Jan Stables has been my doctor for about five years now, I love her, she is so understanding and she takes the time out to make sure she gets all of your information. My children love her as well, and my little sister has even started to see her. Her office staff are well informed and helpful as well and the office is always clean They were amazing with my 6 year old son. Very professional and time efficient. She is a little to eager with the prescription pad for my taste, but does a decent job. The phone number listed here is actually the fax number. The phone number is the same except for the last digit, which is a 0 not a 5. I am so appreciative of the service and real caring of both NP Stables and all her staff. This is the BEST "doctor's office" I have ever been to. Thank you Jan and Staff 5 1/2 stars of 5 I have suffered from a chronic pain disorder for 7 years. I transferred to Jan Stables after my doctor at TVC decided--without any discussion--that she was going to stop prescribing the only pain medication that makes me able to function and care for my 5 children. This medication is NOT a narcotic, I have no side effects, and have even taken it through two pregnancies that resulted in two healthy babies. The TVC doctor had even prescribed this medication for me for the two years prior with no problems, since I'd taken in in Virginia for the previous four years. I switched to Jan Stables about 9 months ago and by the end of my first appointment, was crying because she 1) agreed that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," and 2) REALLY listened to me, unlike the TVC doctor who TOLD me what was going to happen with my own health care. I have since transferred all 7 members of my family to Jan's practice. We have been very impressed with her professionalism and genuine caring way of relating to her patients. She always offers solutions, but allows ME to say whether I want to pursue that course or not, when we have something to treat. This is incredibly refreshing among medical professionals and I can't recommend Jan and her staff enough!!
