Horrible deceptive old man. Comes across so nice and sweet until you have a problem then the true evil person comes out. I wouldn't let this place work on my car for free so don't let his " discount " prices fool you. When you bring your car to a reputable shop to repair Jims work they all know him and have fixed his horrible work many times. Any good reviews that you might read were posted by friends and family guaranteed. You will hate yourself for doing business with this fraud. My wife purchased a 06 Impreza from Jim. And yes it has been back for both minor and major things. He has seemed to take of us time and time again. A used car is a used car and when you stock up with used cars then parts from the used cars will be put in your ride to get you back on your way. His mechanical warranty to us was good for a year and he was good to his word. Hung up on me when explaining what was going on with my vehicle before bringing it in. He is a low cost mechanic that uses parts from wrecked subarus to fix your vehicle. I have had my starter replaced and it works fine now. He always charges a small amount (like $20) more than the original quote, no matter what work he does, always with some excuse. I bought my subaru from jim and it does have an engine oil leak as other buyers have also reported. I've never had problems with him or the work he has performed. I'm sure I'm compromising the life of my starter by getting one from a wrecked car. Oh well. Low income. I had two windows and some body work done with no problems. I got the windows and body parts through him as well.
