Wonderful people, did great work on my car and got it done in one day and fixed a small issue I didn't know I had. Friendly, polite, funny. I definitely recommend this place if you need auto repair. Zach is always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Every time we need work done on either of our vehicles my husband and I will only take them to Z Transmission. Working with them is always such a great experience. They get us in quickly and we get our vehicles back in a timely fashion without being charged an arm and a leg. :) Zak is the only mechanic in the state of Alaska I trust with my vehicles. He's done everything from complex engine & transmission repairs, brakes, radiator, chassis work, sensors, fluid flushes & filters, suspension work, etc. Zak has always been very clear about repairs as far as labor time, part cost & letting us know immediately if he finds other issues. He's always given us as least 3 different price options for parts; stock, mid-grade and after market. I can usually call and he'll get my vehicle in either same day or next day. Z's Transmission & Auto Repair is HIGHLY recommended if you're looking for an efficient, friendly, honest, cost effective & knowledgeable mechanic. (Ps, his labor rates are very competitive & reasonable.) Terrible experience. Truck broke again two weeks after getting it bacK, didn't warranty parts and it was only the parts he replaced that broke, again. Terrible service quoted us 4 1/2 then turned around and took they're sweet time dragging it out to 7 hours also had to help and do work myself on my vehicle I was paying them to work on they walked away for about 30 minutes talking and joking someone leaning on the back of a truck while My husband was working on the vehicle they were supposed to be working on don't go here you'll get ripped off
