During my appointment with Dr. Jiang today, I was called selfish for asking for a light duty waiver for work until I can get a surgical consult to correct my back issues. He told me I was putting an unnecessary burden on others because of me being out and holding a position someone else could have. He then went on a philosophical rant on how I should care about others needs more than mine and was told to "suck it up". I should just ignore the pain and continue on how I am. He then proceeded to tell me, there are no free lunches. All I requested during this visit was, a written note with some physical limitations short term until I got a surgical consult. In closing, if you want to see a doctor who will judge you for asking for help, imply you are lazy and looking for free money, and really never fix anything, he is your guy. His staff on the other hand are wonderful. Great group of ladies working there. Kudos to them for dealing with his rants all day and everyday. I wouldn't go anywhere else for management of my pain. I have been to Advanced Pain Centers in the past and was sorely disappointed. Was prescribed medications that were intereacting with each other and were wholey ineffective. This facility is smaller but modern and the staff is so caring and kind.
