I was experiencing a huge amount of fatigue and went to get checked up. After two minutes of me sharing my symptoms and various questions, the Dr. immediately recommended anti-depressants. Yes the easy way out. A few weeks later I was admitted to the ER. Turned out I was pregnant. I had a great experience here. Very helpful, friendly staff. I got in there first thing in the morning and was seen shortly after. Giving TVC one star is being generous on my part. This clinic is in business for one thing only. To make money. Good doctors at TVC are few and far between. I don't trust any of them with my health care anymore. I have been misdiagnosed, tossed to the side and ripped off financially since 1995 at TVC. Not one single doctor that I seen was willing to help me figure out what was wrong with my stomach and abdomen, and as a result, I have suffered for years with pain. I think the straw that broke the camels back for me was when I was told that some people just suffer with pain and there is no way to fix it. I am totally disgusted with TVC and my only wish is that I could recoup the thousands of dollars I have spent on poor, unprofessional healthcare. The dermatology department is absolutely a joke. Has an appt at 3:30, got there at 3:20 and wouldn't see us because we're a new patient and there is paperwork. Mind you they didn't say this until after we had already checked in and tried to turn in the paperwork. They preceeded to tell us the doctor was still with a patient, and Dr. Walls was refusing to see us. We were there was a half hour arguing with them and there were no other patients during this time. This isn't our first issue. But I promise it will be our last. Update: Headed to the ER tonight for whay we needed to be seen for. I like the doctors and the other staff at TVC, and feel like I get good compassionate care in most cases. However, patients have to wait seven to eight weeks to get an appointment! There is little to no follow up care, and the doctors seem to be ever changing. Obtaining good health care in Fairbanks is difficult.
