I gave it 4 stars based on what it really is...a truck stop! Staff was great! This place is not fancy at all, but it did offer a warm place to stay. The place appears to be clean for the most part, the beds could use updating, but did the job just fine and the food was good. Again, the stars are based on the fact that it's a warm place with hot food in the middle of nowhere. Had this been in a city with other choices I wouldn't have stayed here. I stopped there on the way up and return, but only slept there once, the staff was very friendly both times. A beautiful spot, with nice rooms! Good spot to look for Ice Road Truckers during the winter! Good food nearby. Definitely worth the stop..... in fact it's the only gas for miles miles so you probably should stop Filled up with gas and grabbed a beer in the bar area. Came back in the morning for a hearty breakfast with friendly wait staff and cook. Food was good and served fast. Reindeer sausage was tasty. Coffee is self serve. Great place to stay overnight. Rooms are actually very nice and clean considering it's in the Arctic circle. :) Better then the hilltop great food friendly people rooms don't have drewers to out your stuff Some rooms are super cold others are super hot 75 degree hot. There is satellite internet which is not bad if not alot of people are using it for video calling but YouTube is slow so probably being throttled. Overall last 4 days have been a good experience but my boss is paying the bill depending on price I may be a little more picky. But if anything the food is worth coming in for awesome breakfast and awesome burger "the standard" the French dip was a miss auju just tasted like the meat that was not very good either but great bread should of dipped it in my chicken stew that was delicious.
