It takes half hours form Fairbanks. If you want to join some local tour packages, you will need to spend more time in traffic. However, if you want to keep away from city or enjoy aurora shows from you seat at home, it is a great place to stay. Near Chena Lake, which also a good place to enjoy aurora or ice fishing. It'd be perfect if there's network. I stumbled on 3DN Hostel on a motorcycle adventure Aug 2012. I greatly enjoyed the stay. Host was nice as we're the other guests. sweet place and friendly host Ok
