Great place to spend a couple nights when visiting Fairbanks. Park is wooded and looks as if you are in the country. The noise level provides a different opinion. Probably not as much an issue for RVs but is for tent camping. Loud traffic all night on the two major streets next to park and sometime it is on the airport flight path. Only other minor concern is this park at times have issues with homeless. Pull off anywhere and hang out. We had a picnic with the kids, fished a little, and skipped rocks. Great day outdoors. Great bike trail and swimming spot! Easy drive to get there. Great quiet place. Long straight roads with multiple river access points, a shooting range, and year round road accessible cabins. Does dog rentals near the recreation area Nice cabins there, but a unbeatable number of mosquitoes (the only place on our trip through Alaska). So we put up our tent inside.
