Outstanding trip to Chena Lake for some ice fishing. Can't wait to book another adventure with these folks. Had a wonderful time fishing with Lee. We floated the Chena River for 5 miles, and he put us on a ton of artic grayling. One member of our party had never been fly fishing and Lee had him casting and catching quickly. The pace was perfect between floating and wading different spots along the way. The scenery is hard to describe - you just have to see it. We saw a bald eagle, beavers building a dam, and moose. And best of all, we didn't see any other humans the entire time - we were the only people fishing that stretch of the river. My husband and I had the best experience fishing the crystal clear waters of the Delta Clearwater river with our guide ,Lee . The scenery was spectacular. With Lee's instructions, our first time fly fishing was a huge success, landing many mature Arctic Grayling. We would recommend this trip to anyone, as it was the most enjoyable day of our entire Alaskan vacation! If I were only to write a review for our guide, Zach, this would be a five star review. He knew his stuff and took time to show us a few extras along the way. As far as the owner of this place is concerned I have a few concerns. He made a huge deal about us having raincoats. Raincoats. Even to the point of me asking him on the phone if he was still allowing us to go if we didn't go out an purchase them. It didn't rain. I just reread what was listed on the website. It says there was supposed to be a light meal. It didn't happen. Not that we cared. This was an awesome experience! Went fishing on the Chatanika River for Grayling and had a great time. Beautiful scenery and no one on the river but us. Caught at least a dozen fish and saw spawning salmon too. Zack our guide even cooked a grayling up for me at my request. Glad I went.
