This is my number one recommendation as the place to spend a day in Fairbanks. I visited in the summer, but I am certain each season at Creamers Field brings its own magic. I love the history of the place, and the active learning opportunities, and the delightful pathways through the property. This is great for individuals, families, groups, everyone. Such a special place! Beautiful place to visit and walk the trails. We even walked the trail in the snow the other day. So much fun, and romantic too. This is hands down the best trail in Fairbanks. Take the boreal forest route and you will not regret it. Come when the birds are migrating and just watch. Visit during a festival or special event day or send your kids here for a summer camp. There's literally so much to see, do and explore here! Also a popular place for photographers to take pictures of both wildlife and as a backdrop for family photos. I can't say enough good things about this gorgeous place. Great hikes with excellent birding opportunities around every turn. Both waterfowl and song birds find their homes here. You may even see a moose or two. Spent a few hours with my family walking the trails and watching the birds. Some of the trails are not particularly well maintained so be diligent. I hope they continue restoration efforts to keep this place up. Be sure to stop in at the visitors center and make a donation if they are open. Creamers has quite an interesting past with bird lovers throughout. This is a great place to visit if you want to bird watch and/or hike. There was a large variety of birds there when we visited in mid August. The trails were very pleasant to hike and were well marked.
