By far the worst vet you can go to! My dog has had issues with his thyroid followed there instructions did what all pet moms do take them in when they ask etc. well after 6 months after paying about 5 to 700 every month depeneding at 6 months i requested if we can finally come every 6 months to a year may i add they changed his medicine once and for 5 months same med and he was doing great well the expenses to care for him are gettimg spendy i asked if he was good for a check in 6 month to a year since it was getting expensive and i was told that 3 blood draws then he would be good they continued to rape me for money i eventually came to a point where I could no longer pay for his appointments this went on for a year may i add so I forked out almost 6k for my puppy and they still never worked with me or even stopped doing monthly blood draws and no he was doing great he was doing fine i tried to order my meds on pet med Golden Heart denied my request through them just to rape me more for money so after a year and a half i had to end up putting him down for his thyroid and GVD so when i went to get his ashes i was given a bummed up white box with his name spelt wrong and 8k into there pocket i do not recommend them to anyone the worst vet i have ever been to! Whenever I come in the people are always nice and take the time to explain things clearly. Even when the news is hard to take. They know what they are talking about and make sure that any animal I bring in is healthy and taken cared of. I've been to several vet clinics and this has been the best in the fairbanks area. Unfortunately, my dog was found to be very sick and had to be euphanized. The doctor and staff were very helpful and displayed much sympathy. They also offered advice on dealing with the situation and having small children and we were able to make informed decisions. My dog is irreplaceable but if we decide to get another in the future, we will be coming here. I have been lucky to find Golden Heart Veterinary Services when I moved to Fairbanks. I have been there multiple times with my three dogs. Dr. May combines expert medical care with compassion and good old common sense. The clinic does not hard sell tests or treatments that are costly but not entirely necessary. They have always been wonderful about getting my dogs in for urgent care, and they follow up the next day with a phone call to make sure things are going well. The entire staff is friendly and caring. Golden Heart get my highest recommendation! Awesome care and fast
