Randi Carnahan was absolutely fantastic. Could not have wanted or imagined a better realtor to guide us through the process. We have purchased several other homes in the lower 48, but would have been lost up here without Randi. She is a gem! My husband and I kept on calling and calling about our application. They kept telling us will call you guys back but never do. And most of the time when we ask to speak to the person in charge of our application they're not available. It was a terrible experience. If I can give them no stars I would. FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE MOVING TO FAIRBANKS def don't even bother trying to buy or rent from these realtors. We wasted 2 application fees ( one for my husband and 1 for myself, they wanted us both to apply "so it helps us get the house" I'm sure they just wanted our money, because not once they made an effort to call or update us. We had to bug them 24/7. And their reply would be "that person is busy" or "oh give me your phone number and will call you back" or "oh he/she is not in the office" so many excuses. It was the worse experience ever. Somers and Associates went out of their way to help this new to the area find a place. Meet with us after hours to accommodate our crazy schedule. Thank you. Somers and Associates Realtors have disappointed us. We were promised regular communication and updates that were never delivered. With their lack of action and unreliable communication we have been homeless for 2 months with our 9 year old daughter forced to sleep on a floor. We, the customers, have been the sole relay of messages between the bank and power company. This business is unprofessional, unreliable, and has not been helpful or supportive during this process. They are not worth the money of their poor services. If you happen to rent from a place that they manage you will find a knowledgeable staff. They are thorough and very helpful. They have an easy way to set up rental payments online making it convenient for every renter to access. Support and maintenance requests are put through this online website as well. Overall, a great company to deal with.
