I took my two dogs in for the self-service wash, thinking it would be far cheaper than any other grooming service in town. Both are short-haired and require minimal grooming. Neither were excessively dirty. They needed to be bathed in order to remove tree sap after a camping trip. I brought my own shampoo and towels. I used minimal water (short-haired dogs 25 and 15 lbs each). I was done in ten minutes. I was charged $32. This review is not for Blue Ribbon Grooming. I appreciate paying for quality service. I understand you get what you pay for. But a few gallons of water and a 10 minute use of tub is certainly not worth $32. I can take my dogs to Cold Spot Grooming and have them do all the work for me and pay only $20 for their most basic grooming service. And I don't consider Cold Spot to be low-quality. Excellent service! The price is on the high end, but it is well worth it. You pay for what you get and they have excellent service. This place is super expensive. It cost me over $100.00 to get my dog groomed, and he was shedding badly again the next day. The worker was unprofessional, and my poor puppy did not have a good time. I'm going back to my groomer in North Pole, $40.00, including a pedicure and teeth cleaning, and he leaves clean and happy as can be.
