Terrible manager ..owner is not paying employees properly ..this branch was closed before for the same problem ...employees are quitting do not expect good service I had Merry Maids clean my house before I hosted a wedding. What a stress-reducer! I had more time to visit with guests and enjoy myself. They did a fantastic job! I had two house cleanings done by Merry Maids. Both required multiple trips to finish the job. First trip they did a terrible job on the windows and never did find the dust under my dresser. A different person was involved each time, so they needed to learn the house and what I needed. They charged $300 for the first cleaning which I could understand, and $200 for the second. What made me mad was they wanted $300 for the third cleaning because I asked that they only clean when needed. I live alone, travel a lot, am rarely home and am a very neat person, so the house stays clean and neat, and only needs periodic mopping of the floors, rug shaking, dusting and cleaning of the bathrooms. Kim the owner, wanted to change the rate to $300 for the third house cleaning because I did not want to sign up for the biweekly cleaning. By their own accounting they spent 5.6 hours cleaning, which seems like too much time for the house, which is of average size, about 2000 sq ft. I can easily clean it thoroughly in 2-3 hours. Even at 5.6 hours, this works out to nearly $60/hour, which seems way to much for the quality of the job they did. The problem is probably that these house cleaning services have to pay the person that does the cleaning and the owner, who needs to make a profit. I will revert to cleaning it myself unless I can find someone who is willing to clean houses and only pay her/himself, and is willing to work for less than $50/hr. I love coming home to a freshly cleaned house. Living a busy schedule leaves the weekends for things like cleaning. Not how we want to spend our weekends. It's great having Merry Maids come in and take care of that for us. I really like that Jenny is so friendly and outgoing. She is very attentive and really seems to care about the homes she cleans. It's not just a job to her. I would recommend Jenny from Merry Maids to anyone that asked. I scheduled for a cleaning...3 weeks ahead of time. I also paid in advance only to be called the day before saying that they were unable to do the cleaning. I was fine with that because I understand not having enough employees. The problem was when I tried to get my refund(because it was over $1,000) they took me through so many loops. I've called daily to get a receipt, but was told someone would call me back. They have yet to call and I have yet to get my money back. They were very unprofessional about the canceling and told me that they were booked out for 3 weeks and it's nothing they could do. Not sure if this is a first but be careful and make sure you have a clear understanding before paying.
