Took in my new truck for first service, and was told by service tech that there was a rise/bubble in sidewall of one of the tires. When parts manager was asked about tire warranty (vehicle had less than 5,000 miles with no tire impact history), I was told that it is to hard to prove this type of thing as a manufacturer defect without him ever looking at the tire or consulting with the service tech who identified the issue. Next, I followed up with the the service manager and was also deflected without even receiving an offer to try the warranty process. This is my first vehicle purchase with this dealership, and I assure you it will be the last. I will also go elsewhere for whatever routine service is needed in the future after this experience. My Ram 1500 is actually a very nice truck, but this dealership has very poor customer service after they get the initial benefits of selling you a new vehicle. Sad, but true in my experience. Great staff at the dealership! The owner really looks to help his patrons and staff in each department treat everyone well. The service writers have positive, lighthearted attitudes. Some people dread going to a dealership because they believe they are going to get low-balled on a trade in or hosed on the price of a new vehicle. But this is not the case at Gene’s, this dealership is truly amazing and has great people working there. We originally were a GMC family and met a great salesman named Carlos. He bent over backwards to make sure we walked out there with a great deal on a new truck. Later he left and went to Dodge to sell vehicles, when the time came to trade our truck in we were a little hesitant to leave GMC. But we took a leap of faith and went to Gene’s, because Carlos told us he would take care of us and give us a great deal and assured us Gene’s had a great team of employees that would always make sure we were treated right. So we traded out truck in and made the switch to Gene’s. Now a business is only as good as its employees and I’m firm believer in that saying. The service department is just as important as the salesman and we left other dealerships because of that in the past. I fully understand that things can go wrong and parts can me delayed, this causing your vehicle to stay at the shop longer than anticipated. But 9 out of 10 times my vehicle was back to me the day I was promised. People/customers sometime forget that you should treat others how you would like to be treated and you will get much more accomplished. Fast forward a 1 & 1/2yrs and we came back to ask Carlos for an impossible deal and he told us nothing is impossible for him and he meant it. He introduced us to his boss Lane, got my husband to stop chewing on the spot, set us up with Jeremy to get us the best interest rate available and we walked out of the dealership with a new Hell Cat and a Longhorn. Bottom line is they treat you like family at Gene’s and make sure you are well taken care of. Carlos Parker has become not only a friend, but part of our family because he is always looking out for us and that is what you want with salesman. The sales department is better than the service department. In fact, I'd go as far to say that the service department either needs to add about 20 more mechanics or just stop servicing vehicles. In the dead of winter it can take nearly three weeks to get an appointment. Reading through some of the complaints people have reminds me of a Dodge dealer I saw in Canada one time. Their slogan was "Where Else." This is establishment is unprofessional with their customers. They are being reported for insurance fraud and theft. The very worst experience. The manager hung up on me also. Please, do not trust them for your vehicle purchase or repair. .
