There is honestly not enough good that I can say about Simard Automotive, its staff and Mike Simard. I recieved the opportunity to come up and work here for a "trial" period. After 1 month, I headed back to Colorado with a job offer and 3 weeks later, my family and I were in Fairbanks and I was working at Simard Automotive. In a short period of time, I was able to grow very close with fellow co-workers and it became very apparent to me that the job, and Alaska were both exceeding my expectations. Mike truly has a passion for what he does and enjoys seeing those around him succeed. He gives you the tools and support you need to not only become a better employee, but to become a better person. His shop is run on hard work and integrity. Mike is the type of boss/owner that will make sure to say hello to you as he passes in the shop, and above that, the type that will ask about your family and how you are doing. I discovered quickly that this was not just conversation in passing, but instead, he was asking because he CARES. You see this in his life as well as the shop. If you are a hard working, honest person, this could very well be the best place that you could work. My son worked in Denali over this summer. He had some car troubles while there. My son drove out to Alaska from Florida. The staff at Simard is AMAZING! They worked with me, being in Florida, to get my sons car fixed and on the road safely! A big THANKS to Brad! You are awesome! A picture of my son and me! Very happy customers! I haven’t had my truck since December due to. The transmission going out after having someone else fix it. Not only did Brad get me a new dealer transmission he also got everything needed for it too all OEM for a very reasonable price to me. I was expecting to spend 12k for everything it was under 8k to my happy surprise. Everything works way better now then it did and that’s all thanks to Brad and Vinny I really like that whatever I ask Simard's to fix, it gets fixed. The biggest reason I take my vehicles here is because they are trustworthy. On one visit I was asked if I wanted a brake light replaced for just their quoted cost of the bulb. Later I found out that it was a very difficult light to replace and exceeded their estimated time and costs. They honored their word and charged me the original agreed price. My Service Manager, Cat, is always very friendly, professional, and informative. She is a true asset to the Simard team. I always feel at ease knowing my vehicles are in expert hands. Plus, the complimentary coffee is delicious! I've been going to Simard's for years. They continue to take exceptional care of me and my vehicles. Kat takes the time to explain everything to me thoroughly and give me my options. Thank you Kat and Team Simard!
